Shimano 5703 10 Speed Triple shifter issues

My left hand triple shifter has stopped working on my Paul Hewitt, it doesn’t shift up or down and there’s no clicking and no movement in the front mech when I move either lever.
I've watched YouTube videos, many suggest flooding the unit with lube so the sticky pawls start to engage, this hasn’t worked for me☹️
The front mech moves freely when I pull on the cable.

I’m at a bit of a loss, if it requires a new shifter then these are like hens teeth.

Any ideas anyone?

1) Unclamp cable. With cable held applying minimal tension, can you get any clicks?

Pretty sure I have a set of these in the loft but I am unable to access the loft at the moment due to my broken collar bone, I know that doesn't help

Quite likely, but spotting the bit is hard. I've managed to cure it from a RH Tiagra one, took a lot of patience, and small pointy tool and tweezers.

Thank you everyone, I’ll have a look at @Ajax Bay ’s suggestion first then look at the condition of the cable end in the shifter. I’ll report back.

It was a frayed cable at the shifter end that was causing the OH's Tiagra shifter to stop clicking.

I took the first cover but off, but don't be tempted to try to disassemble further unless you're feeling very lucky getting it back together

I’ve unclamped the cable, held the cable with a little tension and the clicks are back. I’ve also pushed out the cable end and there’s no cable damage.
There doesn’t seem to be any ‘spring back’ in the large lever, I’m having to push it back manually. I’m puzzled, the shifter could be knackered.

That does sounds like a issue with / broken spring in the shifter gubbins. Sadly probably terminal for the shifter. It's usually the RHS ones that go, so you might get lucky on eBay for a used one.

The bike has done no more than 1300 miles and, as you say, the R/H shifter is used much more so surprising that this one has broken.
I’ve looked on eBay and online and I can’t see any.
You can buy the main lever assembly only bit without the main body but fitting this may be too complicated for me!
