How many speeds does your bike have, and what make are the shifters?

If the answers are a) 7, 8 or 9, and b) Shimano, then yes.

Should also check that the mounting is correct, it may need a claw mount. Photos would help.

Thank you Drago, the bike has 8 speed and it has shimano shifters. Both the derailleur and the shifters are stamped Shimano Alivio.

I just realised that the image you put is for a 9 speed, not sure if the pull will be correct for an 8 speed.

Just checked, 8 and 9 speed pull ratios are the same, so that one should work for you.
