Shimano Brakeset

I need to sort some brakes for a bike my son will use for commuting, light trail riding and "gravel style" riding,

I have some mt401 levers so was thinking I'd just pick up some 410 calipers, but I stumbled across some mt8000s on eBay.

Ok the feedback isn't perfect, but do you think it would be sensible to go for this -

They are not Shimano callipers, they are copies. They do cranks that say XT also.

They don't say Shimano, or Deore XT to get round copyright.

If it needs new brakes, you can't go far wrong with Deore level.

I have a set of Shimano mt200 brakes on my MTB and have no problems stopping, even on relatively bad surfaces or downhill, despite me being a heavy rider.

Pretty cheap usually too.
