Hi all

I am in desperate need of a new pair of shoes as my old ones are pretty much falling to bits. They are Shimano SPD Road shoes which I have been using with Shimano M-520 pedals for as long as I can recall.

Whilst I am willing to buy another, similar, pair, I have spotted that Shimano do the Click R system where the shoes look more like trainers and generally a bit less goofy when you are not on the bike.

Just wondering if anyone has them or has tried them for their opinion. Also not sure which cleats they use and what they are like for walking in?

These are the ones I have seen:

with these

Thanks in advance.

Looks like a new name for SPD to me, pedal system looks identical. Shoes look like they will take SPD cleats.

With a recessed cleat, they should be easy to walk in, my current Shimano MTB shoes are no problem whatsoever to walk in.

can't say that current spd shows on market look 'goofy' when off the bike if you are really that bothered about the looks of your shoes

  • SPD cleats are included with the Shimano Click'R PD-T700 bike pedals; please note that the SPD cleats will only work with 2-hole SPD-compatible shoes
