Hi,

I'm moving my DA9000 groupset from a frame without braze-on to one with braze-on.
Does anyone know if I need to buy a new Front Derailleur or can I simply remove the clamp and affix to the new frame via the mounting bracket?
Thanks.

Shimano road derailers don't have permanent clamps, it is always an option and the derailers are therefore supplied as braze-on modes. Just remove the derailer, leave the clamp and re-fit.

I learnt something new today. The FD9000 (your derailler) is available in a so-called band type as well as braze-on. Yours can't be modified. You'll have to buy a new one. May I suggest that you also have a careful look at the user manual that comes with your new derailler. These derailers are different from the old ones. You need to figure out the angle of your cable and you have to fit a little push plate onto the frame. Adjustment is slightly different too.
