I'm looking to replace my rear mech and like the look of the Ultegra 6700. Just wanted to run my calculations by you guys before I order to see if a) I've got it right and b) if anyone uses one with a similar setup and if so what they think.
I'm running a 12-26 cassette with a 30/42/52 chainset.
So by my reckoning I have a total capacity of 36T, a front chainwheel difference of 22, min sprocket of 12 and max sprocket of 26.
All of which points to the GS.
Any thoughts?
Here's the Shimano spec -

Thanks guys

I think you're calculations are correct, 36 tooth capacity needed. You could use an SS, but you run the risk of exploding your derraileur if you accidentily shif into big/big or even big/second biggest. Plus a GS gives you the option of using a 11 or 12-28 cassette if you want to go touring in the Alps or such like.
