In a shock new ruling by the EU, bells have got to be fitted on all bicycles used for riding the TdF and other international cycling events.
In addition, they must be rung at every road junction and intersection before the riders can proceed.

‘Zis vil make ze ridinks much safer’ said an unnamed EU official...

I think that some people have a fair bit of spare time (and cash) on their hands, judging by this document.

Must be that time of year, I see the TdF organisers are suggesting a staggered start for the final stage in Paris where the Lantern Rouge sets off first and then everyone else leaves by their coresponding advantage, and the first over the line is the winner. Madness.
Got my shiny new Belgian credit card stylee passport recently.
I've managed to get a so-called '50/50' passport.

The first half is a normal British passport (blue, like the old ones used to be) and turn it over and go to the back and I have a reddy crimson Norwegian one.

I have to wear a bowler hat for my British photo, and a traditional home-made jumper in the Norwegian photo, which is fine but it don't half itch.

Though it would make these boring road races a bit more fun. ^_^
