As long as I breathe, I attack.
I have gone down a waist size in the last month and now my shorts are rubbing my inner thigh by the saddle, do you reckon i need to go down a size ?
Its more of an uncomfortable feeling in one point in the middle of the inner thigh right near the saddle rather than a constant rubbing motion .

Money no object yes get tighter fitting shorts. Tighter is lighter  lol
If they are still tight enough it could be something silly like your saddle has slightly shifted or that your lady has changed fabric softener?

sounds like it.
I am in the same boat after loosing 4-5kg unexpectedly and now spend my life pulling my cycling legging back up to get more comfortable... problem is mine are already a size small (assos) and are not as comfortable as my northwave winter bib tights!

Saddle height is spot on, checked it on all bikes in the last week .
New shorts then...
Tis my cake day coming up ^_^
All my "good" shorts are a couple of years old, oddly the cheap decathlon shorts with a simple pad dont rub as much but obviously not as well padded for longer rides as i would not like to to a 60 mile/club run distance in them .

Well seeing as you've lost weight has your rear end down sized? Could be the padding giving you jip as it's not in the same area of the bottom?

The decathlon shorts i usually wear have a definite change in thickness and a stitching line where it is annoying

Oddly enough, I have now recalled a similiar incident to me many years ago, I lost a lot of weight and found my saddle unbearable. I eventually twigged, more of a guess actually, that because I had lost weight, the amount of flab I had lost in the nether regions ment I was now sitting marginaly lower, so I raised my saddle a "tad" and it solved the problem. I've also noticed a similar effect when I wear different shorts with varying thickness of the pads how it can alter slightly the height your sitting, not by much, but it can be enough to warrant a sore backside eventually on a long ride

Saddle height and angle? I suffered similar on one side only. However my seat height was marginally low and not centred or level. Not by much but it was enough.

Btw don't rate charge spoons neither or the boardman seats painful on my @ss
