Last night me and the missus were talking about this, and we both came to the same conclusion, whilst he was looking at the car, it wasn't actually the car he was looking at, he kept looking at the wheels, front then back and not stopping to look at the bodywork..........wonder if he has a Saab and just fancies some nice alloys?

Although, for the avoidance of doubt, I'm not a criminal - but if I was going to nick someone's saab or bits off it, the last thing I'd do is make a point of speaking to the owner first and draw attention to myself .

We both think he only spoke because we both clocked him eyeing it up, I am probably and hopefully wrong, maybe he just likes Saabs, after all it is a very nice example.

Good defence as well though!

I've had the lock cap knicked Off my car. You see quite a few nissans with the passenger door cap missing. £8 part but needed painting. Fortunately I had some paint.

Ha! I can beat that. Someone once nicked the speedo cable core from my Honda CBX550 motor cycle. The speedometer appeared to have stopped working overnight and when I unscrewed it from the union on the front wheel, the reason became immediately apparent.

Blummin' thing was too short for my CX500.

DM...is it a soft top by any chance,,?

Certainly is John

Locking wheel nuts ftw...

Also why not get one of those security wheel clamps and up it on the motor when not in use, if he is after ur alloys, only being able to get three of them might make it a less attractive prospect.

A colleague in a previous job got so p*ssed off with having car parts nicked from his sporty Nissan that he put Stanley knife blades under the door and bonnet catches to learn the thieving scrotes.

Mate of mine watched somebody nick his garden gate, did not say anything in case they took offense.

A neighbour of mine watched some thieves remove his next door neighbour's gate, throw it through the neighbours window and make off with their TV, video and laptop. He was reluctant to challenge them as they were brandishing metal bars to keep him at bay.
