Should I be worried?

I shouldn't have to work with this threat looming, should I?

Over the last few days, a crop of triffids has sprouted up in what is laughably described as a "meadow" next to our office.

Bravely, I took a picture of one of the monsters (there are many, many more) on my way in this morning. It's obviously in its infancy, but when fully grown I've no doubt this horrifying creature will wreak havoc and probably kill me.

So, what to do?

It's possible I've misidentified the creature, in which case please select "Other" and advise of possible next steps.

Grow a beard like John Duttine did, and build a fortress in a house on the South Downs. Buy a flamethrower and a half track.

God, how I envy you. Every day I dream of an Apocalypse so I can manfully survive and prosper, and you've finally got one. Lucky man.

Put it under your chin. If you can see a yellow reflection then it means you like butter. Or something like that.

I thought they make you piss the bed if you rub 'em on your chin. That's what I was told when I was little. Or was that dandylions
