Should I get the Sirrus 2.0 or Dual Sport 2.0?

I'm planning to get my first bike soon and I'm more focused on the hybrid bikes section, as it give me the flexability to ride on road, pavement and off-road.
The problem for me is that I'm not sure what kind of a hybrid bike I need, I plan to ride mostly in town and not a lot in off-road, but my concern is wether the more 'roady' option such as SPECIALIZED Sirrus 2.0 will require me to get out of the bike if needed to switch between pavement and road. Is it possible/advisable to go up/down to the road with such bikes where those kind of steps can be about 10 centimetres hight?

The other option I thought of was be to get the Trek Dual Sport 2, as it has the front suspension, but from reading in this forum I saw that in this level of budget (±650$) the suspension will not be beneficial (how accurate is this statement btw?).

So to conclude, how fragile the Sirrus 2.0 is (in my area there's no Sirrus X)?
Will I be able to safely go up/down from pavement to road and vice versa?

Thanks.
