Should I have cycled in primary position in this short video?

I'm not sure if I got this one right. Narrow road with 'with-flow' broken white line cycle lane and lorry behind witch was too wide pass. Lorry driver was 10/10 in my opinion but Should I have taken primary in this situation or stayed in the cycle lane like I did. It was a very uncomfortable situation for me at the time. the speed limit is 30mph and I can do about 12mph average on my bike. Maybe road bike cyclists can do around 25 and therefore primary is the better option. Opinions welcome.

Edit was for spelling correction.

You did the right thing in keeping in the cycle lane. Fellow road users seem to begrudgingly accept cycle lanes as our area, but come out that lane and they'll have you! If there hadn't been a cycle lane then i'd have moved into primary, but you were safe where you where.

You did all the right things and so did the lorry driver. However it could have been worse with an impatient lorry driver. I would have moved a little more into primary to make the driver aware that there was no space to overtake (the driver in your vid being very aware anyway). It wasn't a huge amount of time that the driver had to wait behind you however with a lorry engine revving in your ear it can feel very intimidating.

As Morrisman suggested above, you could have pulled in to let him pass, but that would have meant 'maybe' other less impatient drivers behind you probably trying a pass.

Good cycling, good use of a webcam and good lorry driving.

Are you a trained advanced driver?
your running commentary is the sort of thing they would do, pointing out hazards and showing full awareness of everything around them.

That's a bit of a rubbish cycle lane. Too narrow to give you any protection and you might need to swerve out of it to avoid the drains.

I'm not an advance driver. I just like talking to myself when I'm cycling. I get a lot of funny looks sometimes.
