Oh yes. There was one in Armley whose wares were contaminated by E. Coli. leading to one of Yorkshire's worst outbreaks of food poisoning. It was closed down by environmental health and never re-opened.
Wilson's pies in Leeds are at the bottom of the local pecking order in my opinion but it could be that their pork pies are best eaten cold rather than warm.
A really bad pie shop would sell quiche.
