Show us your ........ bamboo!

They had some bamboo bikes at the Cycleshow at Earls Court last year. I managed to have a little ride on one, just a few yards around the hall.

I was surprised how heavy it was, but it may not have been a very good one. It also seemed a lot less fragile than I had expected.

My frame is about 1.8kg and is sized XL (59cm I think). When you look down the seat tube you can see that the bamboo is hollow but the walls are about 5mm thick. It certainly seems very solid and feels stiff even when slogging up a hill out of the saddle.
