I love the fact there is so much blue and no red in your your Christmas tree. You might be able to give Ronald Koeman, the Everton F.C. manager, some appropriate advice about Christmas tree decoration. He was criticised last week by fans for decorating his mainly in red, the colour of our deadly rivals Liverpool. Yours would have endeared him far more to fans of the Toffees.

My wife and I have chosen to have our first ever "real" Christmas tree this year hoping that she may no longer be allergic to same.

I am wondering how best to stand the thing up. I was planning to put it in a bucket and support it with bricks or similar, which would allow me to water it. Any top tips for keeping it in good order, or some other way to stand it up, would be useful. Thanks in advance..

Went up today. And for the first time in years, no wasps lurking in the decorations down from the loft. None that we've found yet anyway!
