Miss Goodbody likes a bit of European sausage

C'mom fnaar I deserve some credit for that cue, perhaps the difference is the number of skins.

Citizens of ye olde British Isles never mock the pork sausage or any of the meat products unfortunately asphyxiated by plastic in the above picture, what passes for a sausage here is a sadistic joke.
To make it worse for you, everything in the picture was produced within 20 miles of my home on small farms. It was all very tasty.

You've got to wait while he dusts down his Box Brownie, sends the film off to the processors and then works out how to send the resulting photo through the interwebs.
Surely Patrick has the Limited Edition Leica 3g with the German made Summicron and the Lizard Skin covered body? Probably had a stew made from the lizard too.

I did it. I stood there and took a picture of the stew I was about to put in the oven to heat up for serving. And I looked at it and thought...No, doesn't look that appetising, sitting there in the casserole dish, waiting for it's final journey before heading towards my fork.

Don't get me wrong, it'll be a tasty one now, aged in the fridge for three days after cooking, Ox Cheek in red wine and paprika stew, probably with a celeriac, apple and mustard mash...but it just looks a bit like a cowpat now and it'll be gone later because I'm buggered if I'm going to try another picture of it.

In the meantime, here's another Pot Noodle.

I've been fending for myself for the last week and eating utter junk. Last night I realised that I needed to fuel up if I stood any chance of getting to Brighton on the night ride this Friday. For the first time ever, I nipped into Waitrose on the way home and bought the needful. Potato salad, tomatoes, and a bit of fillet steak. There's an Irish beef website that gives instructions...

Heat up a skillet until it resembles the surface of the Sun
Meanwhile, dry your room-temperature steak with kitchen roll and wipe it with rapeseed oil. Season with salt and pepper.
Turn on the extractor fan
Cook the steak for one minute on each side, and one minute on the edges
Let it rest while you have a beer

Eat. It was a bit bloody in the middle, but it tasted wonderful and seemed like good fuel
