I bought the Samsung E1200 at the end of feb and it has been a superb no nonsense little phone. I think I have only needed to charge the battery 3 times in 6 months.

And it was a great deal - sainsburys had them reduced to £9 plus they had a special offer of 10p per litre off your next fill on all electrical items - I managed to squeeze 82 litres into my van and a 5 gallon drum - so it the phone only cost me 80p -

Yep a great phone. It does seem that there has been a substantial rise in the price of quality dumb phones. More folk ditching their smartphones or folks buying them as emergency and backup phones?

Nokia Lumia 520 Windows Phone - £40 in Vodaphone sale a couple of years ago. £9 pm sim only / 300 mins talk / unlimited texts / no idea on data as I don't use it.

Cheap as chips, lives in a rubber case, hits the deck frequently and nothing has ever broken. Seems to be amazingly water tolerant. Lasts me ages on a charge as I only turn it on when I go out of the house.

I bought the cheapest unlocked phone from Argos. It's got a camera (with video capture, etc) ebooks, an MP3 player, a radio, a web browser, bluetooth and dual sims. I only wanted a basic unlocked phone but they were far more expensive.
