Dunno if I've shared this. I've fallen out with automatics because I'm fed up of winding them (my job involves a lot of driving, not much activity). I like this because it's clear and very easy to read and, being quartz, it's accurate. Unusual quirk though - the date goes 31-32-33-34-00
The date goes up to 39 to accommodate all the possible combinations of dates.

At least, mine do anyway.

Very nice SG. Love the Navitimer too but far too big for my wrists sadly.

I was doing safety training at a factory the other day. As the group of 12 were filling in the paperwork, I couldn't help but notice that all bar one were wearing one of those black plastic square smart watches.

30mm is about as big as I want to wear before it gets a) uncomfortable, b) doesn't fit well and c) just gets in the way and gets whacked against things. 25mm is my sweet spot, though I have a few that are smaller that I really love.

At least you blokes should thank your lucky stars that you don't have to deal with the excessive bling that gets chucked at modern ladies watches. OK, I don't mind a funky dial, but what's with all the sparkly stuff cluttering up the bezel... (OTOH I'm on the very practical side for a lass.)

This is my experience at cat shows LOL! So many judges and stewards wearing smart watches, and then there's me, wearing a vintage mechanical watch that's (usually) older than me!

As a bloke with small wrists, I fully appreciate the preference for smaller cases. Around 34mm is perfect for me, but down to 31 works well. Anything above 36mm is dinner plate territory!

Ah, as a cat expert - can I have your opinion?

Is this not the most gorgeous kitten in the world?

Oh, he's purrfectly lovely, I assure you. And I will confess to having a soft spot for blues that's almost as soft as my soft spot for torties - I've been owned by both btw - tortie Poppy, blue Pearl and blue & white Madam Lexi.

Please give him a chin tickle and a gentle cuddle from me xxx

Is he Russian, face doesn't look quite full enough to he a British shorthair?

Neither. He's a non-pedigree.

I wish that people would stop making the assumption that a blue cat equals a pedigree breed. Yes, Russians are blue (but also come in black and white), BSH come in blue (but also just about every other cat colour under the sun) and non-pedigrees also come in blue. That's because the two recessive genes that produces blue cat (non-agouti and dilute) that turn a "bog standard" tabby cat into a solid blue are endemic in the general non-pedigree population, not just in pedigree breeds.

A blue cat has two copies of the recessive a (non-agouti) gene that turns tabby into black, and two copies of the d (dilute) gene, which then turns black into blue. The latter is the same gene that turns ginger into cream and chocolate into lilac. Both parents must carry the gene and pass it onto their offspring.

Both of my past and current blue cats are non-pedigree.
