It is very small though - 3cm lug-to-lug, and 2.1cm across. You'd look more than a bit silly wearing that as a bloke - that's the sort of size of watch I wear. Mind, I'm 4ft 11, and eight and a half stone wet through.

Oh yeah, and you might need your glasses to check the time.

Does anyone look at their watch to check the time these days? I wear a watch all the time while out and about, but find myself habitually looking at my phone for the exact time, not how my watch shows it.😉

Yes. Me.

I'm often in situations where I don't have my phone on me (working with chainsaw, judging / stewarding at cat shows), or when I'm out on the bike / walking with a friend, or where I don't want to be flashing my phone in public. So yes, my watches are tools, not just for show.

The watch in question yesterday was photograph at 4:17pm, according to the details of the photo on my phone. The watch and my phone matched perfectly time wise, though looking at those watch fingers closely, I'd say the watch could be showing 4:17 and 30 seconds. 🤔 😉

Yes. I have a smartish watch, Gormless Fenjx 6, but that's purely for sleep monitoring or exercise. Any other time its a real watch with hands for me. Im not a habitual phone carrier, so im reliant upon the watch for anything task that requires discharge with temporal regularity.

Over-priced bling imo. But then I prefer a discreet watch; whilst I have a collection of vintage Rado watches I wear a simple Skagen watch daily.

Have to agree with @DCLane. That's bloody ghastly. Chavtastic springs to mind.

I too, prefer something more discreet. Today's watch is a simple 1970s stainless steel square-cased Technos automatic on a Milanese bracelet.

What are people's thoughts on homage watches? I quite like this Rolex Daytona looky likey by Sugess https://sugesswatch.com/products/automatic-chronograph-418-2-white-dial-ceramic-bezel-professional
It gets good reviews for quality and reliability and it's a good product in its own right without being a fake. I'm quite tempted but I'm holding fire as I'm travelling soon and I'll probably be trawling the duty free jewellers where I might pick up something authentic if the price is right.
