Replaces the one I sold to get me over the line to be able to pay cash for the campervan.

Very nice. I had a 1971 speedy but my slender (yet still manly 😂) wrists don't really suit much in excess of 36mm

The watch in question yesterday was photograph at 4:17pm, according to the details of the photo on my phone. The watch and my phone matched perfectly time wise, though looking at those watch fingers closely, I'd say the watch could be showing 4:17 and 30 seconds. 🤔 😉

No wonder you don’t look at that to tell the time. It looks like a ladies watch.😱

How about this one from the same jewelers where the Frederique Constant watch is for sale? Expand the photo of it! I think the Crystal looks scratched quite significantly.🤔 Not deep scratches, but quite a lot of fine ones.🤔

That's lovely. Early 1960s by the style, and by a respected maker. Can't comment on price, as I'm not au fait with bloke's watches in that respect.

Rainbow Daytona. Yours for around £500k!

Obviously this is not my watch!

Is it genuine?! It's even too blingy for me and that's saying something! If I had 500 grand to spend on a watch, it definitely wouldn't be that one!🫣

Yes they are genuine. There are two rainbow references, both very rare and tend to go for a hefty six figure sum if they ever appear at auction.

My fear if considering buying a Rolex watch, especially a pre-owned one would obviously be is it genuine and are all its parts genuine. A goldsmith, watch repairer friend of mine says he won't touch Rolex's unless it's for such as a bracelet adjustment or a bracelet repair. He told me that for every 10 Rolex's out there, 9 will be fakes! He also said that the watch might be genuine, but it might've had none Rolex parts fitted if its been repaired, with some repairers stealing the Rolex parts and replacing them with none Rolex parts.🙄

Do you think it's worth £600?🤔

I don't know. Partly because I don't know what it's worth to you.

At least for a gold watch, you can work out the scrap value of the case and go from there - the bulk of the value will be in the case. Though right now, gold prices are through the roof, so IMHO it's really not a time to buy unless you're happy to pay over the odds.
