Very cool. I didn't realize they had 30mm studded tires. The only experience I have attempting to ride in the winter I was using non-winter tires. 23mm Continental Gator Skins are not grippy enough for sure. I slipped and fell and haven't attempted riding in winter since. lolz

My winter ride has 4 wheels, an engine and heater. Can't beat it for comfort .

Amongst some old slides I've recently tracked down - evidence that things like this really did happen! An early season tour in Wales, mid-March 1984. Lingering snow on the Gospel Pass.

Our journey that day was between the youth hostels and Capel-y-ffin and Ystradfellte. Roaring fires at both.

The Road Comp in the ice a few weeks ago.
This was just after I'd turned for home as I was struggling to keep the right way up on roads that were slipperier than a politician at election time.
That's as extreme as my winter cycling gets - then it's indoor cycling time.

The Dogma is tucked up nice and warm on the turbo for winter, so I bought a Specialized Stumpjumper for the colder weather and although it takes three times as long to clean than the Pinarello, it's great fun.
