Strip wash with a kitchen mop-up type sponge and water in the disabled toliet - and I work for Health Promotion Service NHS - what a joke! :girl:

Soak water into the mop up sponge and rinse my sweaty parts over the toilet. Health Promotion talks the talk but can't walk the walk.

Problem solved then!

Seriously, I would definitely have a word with the selfish git!

5 blocks of showers in the two buildings i currently use (there are plenty more buildings). each block has 8 (off memory) showers with a lockable door on each. all spotless. i have 3 lockers. i love being a student nurse. i get treated so much better than i did in the 25 years as an electro-mechanical technician. i just hope my placements are as cycle friendly.

who on earth would use a public shower without flip flops?....uuurrrggghhh!!!

We have pretty good changing facilities at my work. I had a bit of a grump about them when they were first installed last year. They flooded everytime you had a shower (the floor sloped to the middle of the room, not the drain :girl:), there were lockers but we weren't allowed to use them, that kind of thing.

Now they've got them sorted out, they're actually pretty good. Took a while and lots of moaning though.

Nobody pees in our showers, at least I hope they don't That's just horrid.

good showers where i am though have found them filthy before now and used the ladies instead. i work shifts am only cyclist who showers in my dept. i use the same showers all the time but do have the choice of other buildings. however they are supposed to be putting a shower in the building i work in now i think the head of dept suggested he may cycle in occasionally so the maintenance dept are looking into it. my major bug bear is lack of drying facilities.

At my last place of work i did shower as it was an 18 mile ride in, however i just have a small 5 mile ride in so don't really have to, tho showers are there if i need to.

We have a "Shower Hog" who gets in to the shower about 07:30 and then stays ther until about 08:15 - 08:20.

By this stage there are about 5 of us trying to get showered and to work by 08:30

Short of unlocking the door and dragging him out there is no answer as he will not take the hint even when asked not to take so much time.

Shame really as it is a nice setup with changing room and lockers adjacent to the shower and space for wet gear.
Easy solution.....just tell him you've pissed in the shower:evil:

I don't shower at work, but then I work in my cycling lycra. I'm careful to shower shortly before I leave in the morning to ensure I'm clean, and wear anti-perspirant deo. If you start out clean, then clean sweat doesn't smell. There are showers in Hyde Park, but you have to know where to find them.

I do sometimes use wetwipes and more deo to freshen up if it's a particularly hot day.

there are no women where i work so i get to use the ladies loo as my own personal bike shed/changing room.

there is a sink and hot water. i take a bath before i leave home and then have what my old gran would call a "strip wash" once i get to work.

i keep a good supply of cheap deodorant from Wilkinson's in my locker.

I'm a teacher- just use the changing rooms. Have to be there early though as I wouldn't want any of the kids to be permenantly mentally scarred by seeing my hairy ar$e in the morning.
Also have lockers there. I feel rather spoilt now, compared to a lot of you.

We have one shower at work in a bathroom, and I've asked the management to instigate a rule that no one can use that bathroom for any purpose other than showering before 9:30am - the amount of times I've stood patiently outside that room for 10 minutes plus for some fat sweaty programmer to walk out after just depositing a weeks worth of backed up meat feast pizza I daren't count. Oh god, the horror.
