I've got a black panther on an oriental background on my forearm.
After many years and suntans it needs redoing again.

It's not easy, not at all. I was always flippant about it, but that was just to make it easier. First time I sent a pig off, I told myself that if I couldn't raise and eat my own pigs, then I shouldn't eat meat at all. That helped, as did culling my own chickens and preparing them for the pot. For me, there's much more guilt attached to eating supermarket meat than from my own animals.

If only more people would take your attitude towards animals Jo. Far too many spend inordinate amounts of time harping on about animal cruelty, yet are perfectly happy to eat supermarket meat and eggs. Sentiment is not a bad thing, but it shouldn't be exaggerated or misplaced.
