As long as I breathe, I attack.
Got a call at work from swmbo to come home asap as Mini CK #1 has been rushed to hospital !
When i got there he was on a nebulyzer (?) as his airway had swollen and they were very close to doing a tracheotomy but luckily he is responding to treatment .
SWMBO is spending the night on a bed there and i have come home to pack bags for a few days stay and try to get some sleep before going back asap in the morning .
Mini ck ~2 is at grandmas for a sleep over .

Feck me , not sure i can even sleep .

You can be rest assured that he's being treated by the best health system in the world. You always feel for children when they are sick, especially your own, as they don't understand what is going on. I am sure he'll be fine.

I hope you have managed to get some sleep, and that when you visit him in hospital he is looking a bit better than last night.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I hope mini ck feels better soon. Its horrible when your children are ill. You feel completely useless because you cant do anything accept be there, but being in hospital is the best place for him/her. Take care, and my thoughts are with you and your family.

Very best wishes to him (and the family) from me. It sounds very unpleasant. Was it some sort of allergic reaction? I had to rush my son to the doctors a few years ago for a session on a nebuliser as he couldn't breath. That was whilst we were visiting my parents. I sort of dread going down there as he seems to be unable to cope with the damp and heavy South Hams air.

Hope he is well soon and turns out like my son, not to have any underlying condition.

Best wishes for him to make a speedy recovery.

Best wishes for Mini CK - hopefully the local GP can come up with a management plan that will minimise the consequences of further attacks.

You can ask for or buy a nebulizer - they are just a more efficient way of getting the inhaler's contents into the lungs. I used one for about a year until my condition became better managed.
