I have wide, flat feet and a bunion. It's taken decades to find a truly comfortable shoe. The Lake MX242 is the answer to my prayers. The construction is very clever as it is effectively a shoe within a shoe. The inner shoe is material and moulds/adjusts around the foot at the widest point. Once comfortable the Boa locks this in place. The upper Boa tightens to hold the shoe in place.

Since finding these I've been able to drop my shoe by two sizes. The fit is wonderful, my feet don't feel cramped and tired and my toes can spread naturally. The only downside is they're not waterproof - at all - as the construction prohibits this. You'll need overshoes.

Highly recommended by me after six months use. Definitely worth ordering some, you can always return them.

This may help illustrate the range of potential adjustment.

With reference to the above posts, my next shoes may well be Lake MX239s (gravel version) when my current Sidi Tigers bite the dust.
