Sidi Sizing vs Shimano

Ribble have up to 40% off sidi shoes at moment so thought I'd invest in as decent pair, but wondered how their sizing measures up vs shimano?

I take a 44 in shimano, regular fit,

I couldn't get on with fizik shoes due to the high arch; any peculiarities with sidi?

I use Shimano 46 shoes and Sidi 46 shoes, however the Sidi's are mega's as I found the standard Sidi's a little narrow.

Same size in Sidi and Shimano here, but be aware the Sidi are a narrower fit.

I have a very high instep and find that the buckle strap on the sidi fives is only just long enough to close - having said that there is an extender available to lengthen the strap.

Oh - and the fives are probably the most comfortable shoes I own.... bike or non bike.

I've pulled the trigger on some sidi's and they are certainly a bit tighter but expect they'll be ok.
