Okay! So I couldn't really sleep the other night and came up with this fantastic idea.
Now, a lot of close overtakes, etc, happen because people are impatient and don't care. I've got two ideas...
The first is get a nice big picture of a scantily clad, beautiful women (get the free poster in zoo/nuts, something like that)...and attach it to your rucksack (or back...but that seems a bit weirder). Then, when Mr Van Man, or someone impatient comes along they might be more willing to wait a few minutes till it is safe if they've got a bit of eye candy to pass the time.
Idea two, inspired by the motorbike 'think' campaign thread. It's not quite having a massive flashing sign (which would be cool), but similar to the first one, but just reads a short message, in a large font, like, "Hi, I'm Tom, a 19 year old student and I cycle 30 miles a day for work."....just sort of a "Yes, I'm a person too" type message.
I'm sure you'll agree...pretty awesome ideas
. And yes, it'll probably be introduced into cycle craft soon
