Hello guys! I am about to buy this bicycle for 45 pounds. Cycling uphill on my crappy mountain bike every day is killing me. What do you think of it? Is it worth the price? Should I take any precautions?

Thanks in advance,
Rene

@amar4nt for £45 looks a fair enough but be warned those what look to be steel rims are fun to stop when weather conditions are damp !!

allow £100 for new cables.tyres , regrease on bottom bracket and headset and wheel brgs and brake blocks poss.

check seat post and stem are free to move and adjust ok before handing over £ notes and walk away if they are not .

or for £165 i can sell you this http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/f...ng-bike-reynolds-tubing-student-bi/1096109313

where are you based ?

That's a lot of Carlton for £165  I remember when Carlton launched bthe Corsair..... Their "superbe new demi-course". Easy to sell as it was light, rode like a Carlton and the colours looked a million Dollars in the sunshine
