Well.... not formally trained but anybody with kids will know that they are very good at mimicking, though it's more usually pop songs. Listen to Mum & Dad's favourite aria enough times and you've got it dialled..... throw in pretty looks, good lungs and voice and some personality and you're a money-earner.

The "Whaaa? Farkinell!" open-mouthed looks of the air-breathing judges are a bit OTT though.

My problem with these is the "processing"

She has ceased to be the natural child already.....

Not taking away the quality of her voice, but I do think that she is going to become another mass produced item

I was referring to Charolotte Church singing down the phone aged 9 on The Richard And Judy show or whatever it was and everyone going 'WOW! Who is that!?'.

That girl will now be put in a similar situation. Just sayin'.
