Did any of you see the documentary about it on ITV4? They showed it when the Tour de France was on last year. It's more than hardcore!

seems we are ALL right -----We are doing it as a relay, so we figure on riding around1,000 miles each depending on terrain, changeovers, fitness etc. We are busy working out the logistics but ideally all of us will cover as much ground as possible and we would like to ride in groups where we can to increase the speed and because its more fun.

So a group relay.

Would he be quicker if they stuck a rowing boat on wheels

However he does it he is a real hero !!

Bass player from rage against the machine did it in a team , oh and they upright surfed with paddles for overnight to the start before hand and got penalized for not being on time for registration;)

Who was the guy in the documentary about RAAM, he finished in a home made neck brace IIRC.

I can't remember the guy's name, but you're right about the neck brace. I read that it's fairly common among RAAM riders for their neck muscles to give up.

I have an Audax mag somewhere with a picture of a rider (doing either LEL or PBP) having his head held up by a bungee attached to the rear of his bandana.
