Wales(my pick by the way) are stuffing the Scots at the moment. If they keep their foot on the gas it could be a cricket score. (51-10 Eng v West Indies:biggrin:)

I was a bit previous there, 26-13 in the end. I suspect Wales will do England though.

Forget about the shirts, the players are not much better. I have just returned home from Murrayfield having watched the game with some Welsh folk from my office. I think Scotland are keen to win the wooden spoon.

I listened to most of the game and saw some of it. What is Frank Hadden on? It would appear every commentator I listened to was questioning his selection of players and his tactics. He should just listen to Radio Scotland and they could tell him what team to play and tactics to use. ;)

I'm hoping that keeping all of the Springboks out of the preparation matches in the run up to the Tests will have affected them adversely. But I don't have high hopes.

I would also question the purpose of mid-week matches like the last one where the main purpose of the opposition appeared to be to do as much damage as they could to the Lions players, rather than scoring points.

I would have included Martyn Williams in the back row as a) he's an annoying tosser and  he'll get the ball away from an area where the Lions have problems - at breakdowns. Wallace is a 'better' sub. Heaslip was a definite.
I also thought that Simon Shaw was in with a shout after his performance midweek, whereas O'Callaghan seemed to coast through part of the game. Understandably I'm only watching on the telly so what can I deduce...
O'Gara, Ellis and Adam Jones is also a pretty powerful trio on the sub's bench.
Good luck and let's hope for an entertaining game...but I fear "pick & go" "pick & go"...

Apparently he was a dead cert according to the commentary team. (Tuesday's match was the first I have seen this tour). I have my reservations - he often comes away from these games with a dent or two - he was massively built up in the media once upon a time and, although all the players at this level are 'elite', he seems a bit less durable than, say, Gerry Hayes of Ireland...

Rugby is the game for fat stupid kids who can't play football.

Not the other code, actual athletes play that one ;) My wife doesn't watch either but she can tell the difference between a league and union team by looking at the players.

Got to say, thats the most pathetic statement I have ever noted on this forum!

I may get the same response.
