I didn't see the game but the result will not have harmed the England squad or their confidence. Winning against Scotland at Murrayfield is never easy so now England have something to build on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps if Alex had been playing for Scotland, they might have been in with a chance. NOT!

Obviously I am flattered but I'm really not that sort of boy.
Perhaps the OP was thinking of 'ma Sherri', Adrian.
Or, just maybe it was a token...the 'Col' e-flower 'ears

I just love Brian Moore’s “unbiased” commentary during the England games.

(We only support two teams in Wales – Wales & any team playing England!!)

Can't see the boyo's thriving in Dublin. H Cup form suggests they'll be put to the sword. But Ireland have an almost French capacity for self-destruction, and both sides are missing key players, and as none of the Celts can really be arsed to perform unless they are playing England, it is probably too close to call.

I only watched the 1st half of Scotland v England (due to 'unforeseen circumstances') but I actually rather enjoyed it. It wasn't good rugby, no, and the mistakes by both sides made for frustrating viewing, but it was tense enough for me... it wasn't the inevitability of France v Italy.

From the highlights I saw later, it did look as though Scotland lost it though. England had to defend a great deal and would have been beaten but for Scotland's mistakes. Still, it'll go down as an England win and will boost their confidence. I'll not be critical of England's performance though, it's early days and they'll learn, become more cohesive. The spirit was there.
