same as Mike Brown boot on an irishmans head then ...........
So you agree then.

I can't explain why Francis' hand was where it was but he isn't a dirty player so I struggle to believe it was intentional. Funny how many people seem to 'know' 100% that it was intentional.
He may not have been considered a dirty player. 8 weeks tells me a different story.

The ban has nothing to with playing dirty. It was seen as reckless, not intentional and was reduced from the usual minimum ban partly due to his previous record.

So....

as above - whiter than white England ( how Brown escaped Citing I will never ever know) and everybody else picks on them .

Martin quoted what the TMO said- sums it up nicely for me as does the reduction to 8 . sends a message - make sure you know whare your hands are. it means that this weekend you won't get some Colts trying a " non deliberate " gouge and getting pinged for it, because they saw top flight eleite players doing it

Marler must be the luckiest man alive, he has been cleared on both counts of hitting and verbal abuse.

Not sure I saw the elbow incident, something should've been done about the racial slur though. People have pointed at that footballers have been banned/fined for that kind of thing before so rugby can't talk about moral high ground if it lets it go.

hought the verbal stuff wasn't going to be dealt with until after the elbow incident.

Ah yes it was. A few hours later.

definitley justifies my post in joke of the day.

I might use the " it was in the heat of the moment " excuse for everything now.

I wonder what size brown envelopes will be dropping into greasy palms now.

I saw the elbow incident again on the TV this morning. I think that should be a ban. Not only did the elbow look deliberate but the glance at the other player afterwards was a kind of "there's more of that if you want" look.
