I did the cheapo version of this in Jan and stayed at Brides les Bains. Brilliant conditions.

What was it like staying in Brides Les Bains, how was the lift, I've stayed in Courcheval 1650 and La Tania, both are great as you can ski right back to where you are staying, but you do pay for this luxury, especially in Courcheval. Also they are just starting to use the lifts in the 3 Valleys for mtbs in the summer, there are routes that bring you down as far as Moutiers, cycling back to Brides Les Bain would be more fun than the climb up to the resorts on the slopes.

Went Skiing for the one and only time about 15 years ago. It was far too cold, far too much hard work, and hated being shouted at by a Cock of a Ski instructor. I lasted 1 day on the slopes, spent the rest of the week in the bars.. and promised myself never to go Skiing again..and haven't.

Took me 6 attempts to learn to ski and it was agony. Now I absolutely love it.

What you are saying is the same as someone who climbs on a bike and then gives up because they get out of breath and find the saddle hurts their delicate bottom.

Incidentally, the conditions are really good but it's going to be very warm this week, so it's likely to be soft in the afternoons.

Ski-ing is the best thing ever. Can't understand why cyclists don't enoy it - combines fresh air, good views and gentle excercise, all of which you get on a bike.

Back from Switzerland (Wengen) a week and a bit ago. Snow good, was cold. However a week is a long time.

Did La Plagne many years ago. Not the best connected in the village, but very easy to ski - you are never more than a couple of lifts from getting back home.
