ok fitted tons of these tyres, wire bead 23c and 25c. Once you know the procedure they are not a problem

getting them off you press the tyre on both sides pressing towards the centre of the tyre, this releases the wire bead from the edge. Then you peel the tyre back slightly to place tyre lever in and clip the tyre lever to a spoke. Now with the second lever you go around the rim releasing the tyre on one side..Now you take the tyre and the tube off together instead of trying to get the tube out.

Fitting back on you place the valve in the rim hole along with 8 inches of tube on both sides of the valve without the tube having any air in it.Once you have 8 inches in on each side then pump up the tube with some air to fit therest of the tube under the tyre.Once all the tube is in place pull part of the tyre back and fit the second side of the tyre.Part will go in then you will need to press around the rim to put some more part of the tyre in.
At the last 20 per cent of the tyre some air needs to be released so the last bit of the tyre fits over the rim.Once done a couple of times you will find it no problem.

hope this helps

Not sure if others have said this, but i tend to put the new tyre on the rim without a tube and leave for around an hour. this helps it stretch into it's position and should make putting it on the first time a little bit easier.

FFS I can't believe this thread has got this far and still nobody has mentioned TALC! New rubber is dry and sticky and talc is a natural dry lubricant for rubber. I always give my tyres a good sprinkling with talc before refitting and I can fit most of them by hand without the need for tyre levers, this is the road bike and all the family's MTBs.
