the towpath is fine....takes about 3 hours but i do pootle to take advantage of the lack of traffic.....cock and bottle pub among many...enjoy
that's damn fast, not pootling, especially on a brommie.
cycletravel's gravel route which I think largely follows the canal, puts it at over 4 and a quarter hours.
