Slick Tyres

Hi

I have recently bought an apoolo fs 26 mountain bike as i was not going to do much road riding. That has now changed and was advised to put slick tyers on it for the moment instead of buying a new bike. Where's the best place to get these from. Tyre size is 26" x 1.95. Could anyone help.

I replaced the 26 X 1.95 knoblies on my Raleigh MTB with 26 X 1.5 Schwalbe City Jet. Cheap and cheerful and no problems yet.

I got some 26 x 1.25 ones from decathlon. Did the trick for me. reasonable price see the decathlon uk web site.

Wiggle are doing 20% off certain tyres at the moment, depends what you want/need

Most Local Bike Shops'll do some sort of slick/urban tyre for 26" wheels, but if you can't find any there Halfords list these Schwalbe's which look OK.

The tyres will help, but you'd be far better off selling that bike, adding the £30 you'd pay for a pair of slicks and buying something more suitable for riding on the road. A full suspension Apollo isn't ever going to be anything better than mediocre. Spending anything on it is throwing good money after bad.
