Slow Site

Is it just me, or is the site loading quite slowly for anyone else? It's only Cycle Chat, everywhere else seems normal.

They seem to be getting in everywhere these days. I was reading a local newspaper site*** on my phone the other day and accidentally clicked on an ad rather than scrolling the page up. Next thing an age verification box popped up over some blurred images which definitely didn't look like Yorkshire townscapes!!



***Or should I have said 'Advertising site which had some local news on it'? The ad-to-content ratio is getting ridiculous on many sites now!

Temu seems to be the main problem for me

it only seems to sell things that have to be advertised by women showing a lot fo skin

but if you click on it it goes to kitchen appliances or DIY stuff
(no - KITCHEN applicances - KITCHEN!!! - honestly!!)

One of the things that limits the appeal of getting fibre is that I've no idea how to tell whether it's the laptop that's being slow, or the wifi, or the broadband, or the internet, or the website. Cambridge University science forum was unusable for a week or two recently whilst they found a way to thwart the thousands of hits from bot scrapers using the site for AI training.
