Got to love them.
Beautiful little squidgy creatures. Underdogs in the animal kingdom, made by God late on Saturday evening but wonderful species. Shrivel like an old man's penis when touched - what's not to like?

There's nothing little about them here. There are 2 sorts and ordinary orange coloured type and the larger Leopard slug. Fortunately a family of hedgehogs have moved in, and there are not as many slugs around as there were. The garden is a slug-pellet-free zone.

We had a leopard slug living in one of the compost bins. It was christened 'Leonard'.

My kids seem to have a strange interest in the little critters along with snails ! I have given up my fight with them and let them much away in my garden

Why? Please tell me not to eat them... I saw Hugh F-W trying to say that they should be edible but even he gave up after trying gutting them and using the skin as a casing!!!

Not my favourite creature, they do to much damage to my plants, along with the snails, in this house slugs and snails in the garden are conspicuous by their absence, something to do with the fat toad that's a regular visitor.

I remeber seeing him eat a huge fat white termite once!
