Cycling to work this morning along upper wickham lane. Guy pulls out to turn right at last minute hit him side on as I tried to brake and swerve at last minute. How I ever walked away from this will never know. Going to get bike checked out and have been to hospital informed police waiting on his inusurance details.

Write the account down so you can be clear on exactly what happened.
get yourself properly checked over as well, bearing in mind some injuries can take hours or even days to become apparent.

Keep notes on anything you are out of pocket for - taxis &c. - to claim from his insurance for on top of any damage to the bike or your clothing plus medical stuff.
Any sniff of him messing you around - get a solicitor on the case.

As BenB has already said keep a record of everything. This includes photographing any and all injuries to yourself and damage to the bike.
Assuming you have the vehicle registration you can check its current VED/VD status on the DVSA site.

Have you got a spare bike? Or are you going to need to drive/take taxis/public transport?
If the latter, keep receipts for everything and claim that back from the driver's insurance. You shouldn't be a penny out of pocket due to this incident.
I'd strongly recommend getting a solicitor on the case. If you're a member of BC or CTC you can get one for free, otherwise you may well be able to appoint one on a no-win-no-fee basis given the circumstances. Make sure you get one who is well versed in cycling matters.

bike is triban 5. Fork is cracked. Phoned decathlon. Up to four week wait for new fork. Taking it to local shop see if there are any they have that might suit. Might ruin look of bike but to be honest just want my bike back. Driver has not supplied insurance details. I have taken photo of impact. Shot of his car and him standing next to car incase he wants to say he wasnt driving not sure that he is aware of that so lets see what happens.

Glad you're ok. Which is your local bike shop? If it's not too far away I'd recommend Peter at Welling Cycles, he'll sort the bike out and if you explain what happened and that you need the bike for commuting, he'll probably bump you up the queue of work.

You can easily get standard black carbon forks from the LBS which will match fine.

If you have the name and reg, your solicitor can get the insurance company details. This is what happened in my case, you don't need to get the specifics . Also the police can get
