It sounds harsh, but she shouldn't be on the road. Now's the ideal time to broach the subject of giving up, what with her car being worn out.

If it wasn't your Mum, and just some random neighbour instead, would you really want to see her on the road if her driving is as dangerous as you've described?

Get her a Hummer. She'll fit in pretty well with everyone else who drives one.

If I may respectfully suggest that if your mother really is as bad as you describe, perhaps she shouldn't be driving at all.

How about another set of lessons / refresher course etc

Shame, or I'd have recommended one to my Mother for the reasons that RT gave!

I saw one yesterday outside Chav Hell Leisure World in Southampton and by Christ it was oversized and incredibly vulgar!
