As far as I understand it, the reason for the 'A Pillar' window was to increase visibility, not to obliterate it with sticker??

It's as bad as those who drive around with a phone/sat-nav stuck in their field of vision, in the windscreen

I don't believe so, only the 'swept area' of the windscreen falls under that 'Fail'

Although, l'm sure any Traffic Officer, who happens to notice it could pull it over, on the grounds of obstructed vision?
