Just thought I'd bump this thread, by sharing my commute in today. Past a car stuck up to it's axles in flood water...then waving to the AA man at the end of flood getting ready to pull him out.
Later just as my socks were drying out, I steadily overtook the massive queue of cars trying to get through Linton in the morning! Grinning from ear to ear, on this lovely sunny day!

Come Olympic time, London is going to be awful with traffic. It should provide a further boost to cycling as people try to escape the traffic jams.

Yep, a few colleagues in my office are getting very concerned about transport into the capital during the Olympics (they are mostly worried about their commutes). This is not helped by TFL placing large billboards around town stating helpfull things like "London will be busy during the Olympics" ...really?

I'm looking forward to it.

I have a very bright jolly tune that I whistle while cycling past stationary traffic.
I can also stimulate the symptoms of rabies in local drivers by being a big fan of Abingdon's one way system.
'You what??!!!'
'Have you tried cycling through it?'
