31 years for me and I feel the same as you.must be 20 years now, don't suffer from cravings but I know that if I smoked another cigarette I would be hooked.
I've smoked on and off (not for at least ten years) and I could go months and months without, then on a whim buy a pack, them nothing for months again, and I've always been really sniffy why people get addicted to them. I just used to really enjoy a smoke. Perhaps I don't have an addictive nature. Must be so hard packing in something that has become so habitual
Exactly what I did, my enjoyment of the n+1 raised exponentially as the cravings disappeared.I'm just 8 days smoke free after 23 years of smoking. I've given up about 10 times before but always with the help of patches earlier on, or more recently vaping. But I had enough last week, smoked my last ever cigarette and threw out the quitting aids too. The cravings have been surprisingly manageable. But I am suffering terrible night sweats and have uncomfortable cold like symptoms and stomach cramps from the withdrawals.
There was only one thing for it. I had to cheer myself up. My N+1 arrives on Thursday![]()
I bet you've never owned a television either.I have never smoked in my life. Always hated the smell of it.
Fifty years a smoker, with the occasional Vape thrown in.Still smoking here, started in 76 when I worked all the school holidays at the garage where I was the 'Saturday lad' It's amazing at how popular I was with the local girls when they discovered I had the wherewithal to purchase 20 fags, a bottle of Woodpecker and condoms every day of the week.![]()
