Thank you for the unalloyed admiration. On the basis of your reaction I am completing a learned volume on my exploits (film rights available). I'll no doubt be undertaking a national signing tour when I've decided which publisher to choose. Please keep your eyes on the local press for details. :rolleyes:

Another impressed/envious here!

Mainly because today I came to a grinding halt on a local hill, in the Kent North Downs, wondering why I couldn't push my lowest gear anymore? Turns out I was in the big ring too :wacko:

You must be close to me. I was super chuffed to have made it up Stock Hill on the fixed wheel without getting off with 69".

top ring?

if it's the rear derailleur that's faulty, I presume that's the small cog?

what size chain ring on the front? and for that matter what size cog on the rear?

and lets see a picture of the hill
