most things seem to work, apart from a few third party "off the net" apps. i had to get newer software for my hp psc 1200 printer, which works fine when plugged in to the mac, but it now can't be used plugged into the airport express, as the hp software won't recognise it as a device, and apple doesn't have a driver for it in the menu :welcome:

I have some work collegaues with Adoble CS4 incompatibilities which is a bit more serious though.

That's why I'm not going to jump in just yet. I'm still runnning CS3 for work and I've heard of problems with that too. Adobe also announced that they won't be offering support for CS3 under Snow Leopard which is a bit crap. I'll wait till a few more guinea pigs offer some feedback on how serious the problems are before I'll move over.

Running CS4 without issue here  Thing is though, I do this thing of buy a new HDD with my new OS then do a clean install. I then have a working copy of my old install & a fresh install on a USB/FW HDD I can then use to migrate the user across from.

Interesting, according to the Guardian you can upgrade straight to Snow leopard from Tiger for only £25 without having to buy Leopard first. But Apple say you "shouldn't"
SL will go on any apple it seems even without any OS installed, I removed my old Leopard install & put a fresh 1TB HDD in my home imac & installed from scratch. the SL installer worked fine without any complaints.

finally got round to the upgrade. First impressions are good. I had an issue with it connecting to the internet, airport was working fine but it wouldn't allow anything to connect. I set up a new location and it fixed it. I'm also pleased that it fixed the problem I had in Leopard with airport constantly dropping the connection and reconnecting which meant slow wi-fi speeds. I'm now getting the full 8 meg (I'm 300 yards from the exchange and speed test confirms I'm getting 8560 Kbps) and pages are coming up pretty much instantaneously.

i've had an overheating issue since installing sl on my macbook (high cpu temp and fan at constant high rpm). i reset the smu by holding the power button down to switch it off a couple of times and it seems to be sorted out now *crosses fingers*.
