As long as I breathe, I attack.
Had a fun run home thursday in a blizzard and then wimped out friday when i saw about 4 inches on top of the car when i got up, mind you i picked up a stinking cold last week that had got onto my lungs so i did not need much of an excuse .
Luckily no crashes this year yet....

I've just come back from a week skiing at Serre Chevalier. Had a bit of trouble with the snow; I fell over a few times and a lump of snow fell off a hotel roof and clobbered Mrs Gti, which didn't amuse her.

The Col des Lauterets was interesting by bus early yesterday morning - the Alpine buses have winter tyres and the driver was super-confident, overtaking all the slow traffic and really chucking the bus around.

Decent covering here overnight, was planning a little ride today as I haven't done much this week(60 miles) but it looks like a no go now.
Oh well hopefully be gone by mid-week.

More Damn snow, yet another day when I can't get out on the bike... this isn't funny any more. I was getting so fed up with the bad weather Mrs VC and I were thinking of going to Madeira for a weeks walking in the sun, glad we didn't now - and thoughts with those who are affected.

+1 It's still coming down here. On the bright side, it didn't snow yesterday. I could have had an interesting drive back from Cornwall otherwise...

Strangely,no snow in central Scotland(Falkirk) for the last few weeks, temperatures of -5C and below all week though(during the night).

Sorry to hear about your tumble Mrs Fry  - hope your not too shaken up  + the bikes not damaged.

With a little more experience you can minimise the risk of taking a tumble - alter riding style to suit - slow down, go easier into corners, let some air out of your tyres to give you a bigger contact patch with the road etc.

Most importantly don't let it effect your confidence because you've been through a lot in your first few weeks commuting. It'll all be worth it when the good(better) weather comes in.

;)

All the best Mrs Fry.
