And while I'd usually be delighted to get into a long involved discussion about the teleology of speciation and hybridisation, the competing claims of biodiversity, agricultural economics, ethical husbandry and public health, and whether there is a philosophical category error in assessing whether anything can be said to be "good for" a species without human levels of self-awareness I'm not sure a fun and light-hearted thread about self-definition in humans is the right place for it.
