Getting old but not past it
Location
North Wales
Wales is my adopted country and love the place. I used to live in West Sussex in the 70's but the people in North Wales are kinder. As for hospital queues, a friend of mine was diagnosed with some cancer a week ago and she had the operation a few days later. Not bad is it?

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Not true. Yes last year wasnt good, but generally we have great weather in the summer. How good was the weather elsewhere last year?
Fantastic. One of the best summers in years.

Here for rides.
Lived there for several years. Visit it at least once a year. Have done for the last 25 years. Love the people. Love the scenery. But....

Great weather in the summer? Maybe for a couple of hours a couple of days a week, for maybe one or two weeks a month for maybe three months a year.

Oh; and have a coronary or a serious RTC in Llandysul or Lampeter or Llanidloes and you'll be dead before the ambulance gets within 10 miles of a hospital. If you didn't die waiting for it to arrive.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Awesome! I live in East Anglia, not that far from the driest place in England, and we get roughly 550mm (22 inches) of rain per year (less than Jerusalem, BTW). It most certainly rains an awful lot more than that in Wales.

What was the weather like generally not just in certain areas. We can all do that. On the subject, I dont have any problem with the nhs in this area. Children and grandchildren have all been ill and recieved excellent treatment.

Urgent cases do tend to get treated urgently wherever in the country you are - which is no help if you've got a non-urgent case.

My mum was diagnosed with cancer today, and is having a mastectomy next Tuesday, 10 days after she found the lump. Individual cases prove nothing, of course, in either direction. One has to compare average waiting times across a population.

Of curse if I lived in staffordshire and went to hospital there I would get great treatment righ? And a few more hospitals are like that as well, as well as those who have falsified records and waiting times. And and and.

some bad points about wales:
you have huge mountains that are near on impossible to climb!
you get rather lonely with more than times the number of sheep as there are people!
the welsh language is just plain silly it taking the mick!
Cheers ed
