So I went to a beer festival last night :)

Got a lift off Mrs Dave so....no drink/drive issues.
£5.00 entrance and you are given a nice commemorative pint glass to keep.
40 different ales. All £1.25 per half pint.
You buy tokens so no money over the bar.
I started with a 6% and managed to try 7 different halves in total (plus 2 whiskies before I went).
They had some very nice meat pies that I felt obliged to sample.
They also had free soft drinks for drivers....a very nice touch.
Dont know how many attended but it seemed to be in the hundreds.
All in all a very nice evening was had.

It could not have been that good....you are already up and alive at noon.

With 40 ales to sample, I must say, that sounds good. I just wish they can make a great beer with very low alcohol, like 2% or 3%.

Last time I attended York Beerfest I was in a right mess, got "ejected" from the taxi and had to stagger over a pitch black moor to get home.

Real ale doesn't agree with me it seems!.
